“Ultra-Vision” for Industrial Robotics

Australian startup Zabidou focuses on sensing for real-time, in-line, automated quality control in manufacturing environments. Its “ultra-vision” platform combines laser-based tactile sensing with RGB imaging, leverages edge AI for instant analysis, and can be integrated into existing factory production lines without requiring significant infrastructure changes, according to the company. OPN spoke with Zabidou founder Cibby Pulikkaseril about the firm’s technology, what it means to be an “AI-first” company, and the road to bringing laboratory-grade laser sensing to construction manufacturing.
