Fundamentals of Laser Spectroscopy for Atoms and Diatomic Molecules

In this book, which is dedicated to the study of the linear and nonlinear spectroscopy of atoms and diatomic molecules, the author develops classical and semi-quantum models that describe the absorption, emission and Raman spectroscopy for gas-phase spectroscopic diagnostics.

The care, clarity, depth and scholarship of most of the chapters contained in the book are admirable. I highly recommend this book as a source for graduates and researchers involved in this area. Additionally, it will be helpful to the combustion diagnostics community.
