In recognition of the continued demand for skilled photonics technicians, the Optica Foundation Board of Directors has initiated a scholarship for talented individuals in the industry. In 2023, a US$5,000 scholarship was awarded to each of 17 students from 15 colleges in the United States and Canada to help them complete their college education and join the photonics workforce.
