In December 2018, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi hosted Photonics 2018, a biennial international conference on fiber optics and photonics. 2019 OSA President Ursula Gibson was an invited speaker at the conference, and she gave a presentation titled “Semiconductor-core optical fibers.”
