HySpex is a commercial branch of the Norwegian company Norsk Elektro Optikk, AS (NEO), which laser physics pioneer Tycho Jæger spun-off from the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI) in 1985. NEO’s mission is to perform advanced electro-optics research to develop cutting-edge products for an international market.
