Images of the comet Lovejoy passing near the sun were captured by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory’s Sun-Earth Connection Coronal and Heliospheric Investigation instruments.

Images of the comet Lovejoy passing near the sun were captured by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory’s Sun-Earth Connection Coronal and Heliospheric Investigation instruments. They are part of the NASA Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory collection of images (arranged as a video) of the comet passing near the sun.
