Caio Bonilha Rodrigues is the president and CEO of Telebras— Brazil’s federally owned telecom service provider—and has more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, wireless, data networks, network management, and Internet and IT networking in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Spain, Kenya and Angola. Telebras has been tasked with deploying 20,000 miles of national broadband backbone to Brazil as part of the National Broadband Program (PNBL). Bonilha will share the challenges of this project in a plenary talk at OFC/NFOEC 17-21 March in Anaheim, Calif., U.S.A.
