For decades, women across the fields of science and engineering have been breaking gender barriers worldwide. However, women are still subject to discrimination and violence, and denied human rights. As Optica Ambassadors, we condemn all discrimination and violence against women. We strongly support the courageous women in Iran and Afghanistan fighting for equality and liberty. We invite our colleagues in Optica and other scientific societies to add their voices to this momentous movement.
