SC generation in subsidiary cores

SC generation in subsidiary cores. The main core exhibits ZDW at 1 um, however for smaller ones the ZDW is shifted down. Therefore light propagating throughout the nexuses in the cladding can undergo soliton fission, and extensive broadening takes place. The fiber was manufactured by CGCRI in India, and applied at the IfLS at the University of Southampton, where the coherent SC generation is used for the purposes of nonlinear bioimaging. Pump: MaiTai at 800 nm, 80 MHz, 100 fs, av. P ca. 10 mW.
