Two-Dimensional Materials for Nonlinear Optics

This book was written by experts in the field; it is excellently edited and very clearly written. Various treated subjects are supported by color figures, graphics and an extended bibliography at the end of the chapter. The book has twelve chapters and can be divided into three main parts.

The first three chapters are introductory, treating the preparation methods of 2D materials and their nonlinear optical properties or modulation and enhancements of optical nonlinearities in 2D materials. The second part of the book is represented by chapters 4 through 6 and focuses on the characterization of nonlinear proprieties of 2D materials. The largest part of the book, chapters 7 to 12, is dedicated to applications such as optical limiting, saturable absorbers, second and third harmonic generation, perovskites for nanolasers, and space applications.

The book is recommended for anyone working in nonlinear optics and applications of 2D materials in optoelectronics and photonics.
