New York Photonics (NYP), a nonprofit industry cluster organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing the New York State optics, photonics, imaging and laser industry, has announced a new leadership team. Alexis Vogt, Monroe Community College, USA, will serve as the organization’s executive director, supported by Josanne DeNatale in the position of program manager. Vogt takes the reins of NYP from the cluster’s longstanding executive director Tom Battley, who is retiring from the role after two decades. Currently, more than 150 optics, photonics, imaging, and laser companies employ approximately 19,000 residents in the 11 counties that make up the region, with additional members located throughout New York State.
