Advanced Topics in Quantum Field Theory

Quantum field theory (QFT) is a unified theory of physical phenomena for which both quantum-mechanical and relativistic aspects are important. QFT has always attracted great minds in theoretical physics—several of them were recognized by Nobel Prizes in Physics.

With this book, Shifman aims to present the relevant physics of non-perturbative phenomena, gauge theories, quantization and supersymmetry in QFT. This book mainly addresses graduate students, but it can be useful for advanced researchers.

While this book presumes that readers are familiar enough with the standard model and its components, it is worth noting that it presents exercises that include detailed solutions designed to facilitate self study.
