The following is a statement from a number of Optica Ambassadors and colleagues on the current situation in Ukraine.
The global community of young optics and photonics professionals condemns the brutal invasion of Ukraine. We unreservedly support and stand in solidarity with our Ukrainian colleagues and their families, and all people whose life has been disrupted by violence and uncertainty.
We call for an immediate halt to hostilities and a prompt, peaceful end to the ongoing crisis. We also urge all our colleagues around the world to express their opposition and condemnation for this invasion and their support for Ukraine.
