This book offers an overview of free-space light communications for wireless mobile technologies. The first five chapters are introductory ones, dealing with the history of this type of communication, emerging technologies, applications and a description of the optical wireless channel. The following two chapters explore enabling technologies and networking techniques for optical wireless communications. Standardization and commercialization occupy the last two chapters of the book. Each chapter ends with a list of references. The book is clearly written and thus easily understood and recommended to all involved in optical communications.
