The book Modern Classical Optical System Design is intended for early-career optical designers and engineers who occasionally interact with the design of optical systems. The main problem discussed is how to choose a starting point for optical design. If you choose an adequate starting point, it is usually quite a straight path to successful optical design. Ronian Siew has more then 25 years of professional optical design experience, which he shares in this book with interested readers. He presents design techniques, tips and tricks for general optical systems with simple explanations and illustrations.
