Advances in Imaging and Electron Physics, Volume 215

Formerly known as Advances in Electronics and Electron Physics, this new book series started in 2001 and since then has published 100 volumes on selected topics in optics, spectroscopy, imaging, image processing, optical and electron microscopy, electron optics and quantum electrodynamics, just to cite recent subtitles. Volume 215 contains seven contributions offering in-depth reviews on: cathodoluminescence and photon bunching, quantum propagation of electrons in magnetic lenses, composition analysis by backscattering electron microscopy, the finite element method, the solution of Laplace equation in cylindric coordinate, and Lauer design of the electron gun. This is a well-produced volume that offers an important reference for researchers on optics and physics.
