In Belgium, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and Ghent University (UGent) cohost a unique photonics engineering master’s program, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2024. The joint program offers students the advantages of each university and opportunities in both academia and industry—while also adopting a flexible, hybrid teaching format, with options for international students and study.
