In OPN’s December “Optics in 2017” review of interesting research, Jörg Imbrock and colleagues outline their technique that uses Čerenkov-type SHG microscopy for in situ 3-D imaging of the switching process of ferroelectric domains—an approach that they believe can offer insights into one of the most complex processes in ferroelectricity.
