U.S. policy on immigration and student/scholar visas unfairly discriminates against scientists from selected countries such as Iran.

Scientists today are not limited to one subject or one geographical area; great scientists are found all over the world, in all fields. Immigration of scientists to institutes outside of their home country is common. The United States is a leader in scientific achievement, and thus attracts many scientists to its shores to follow their careers—and their science.
