But the transfer of technology from lab bench to business plan isn’t always as straightforward as it might seem. That is why the Center for Research in Optics and Lasers (CREOL) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Fla., U.S.A., has dedicated itself to not only nurturing scientific discoveries in optics, but to promoting the growth and commercialization of the applications that result from them.
