This year’s hybrid Optical Fiber Communications (OFC) 2024 conference, held from 24 to 28 March in San Diego, CA, USA, was a resounding success. Topics such as 800ZR, coherent PON, linear pluggable optics, multicore fiber, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), data center technology, quantum networking and more captured the interest of the 12,500 attendees, who represented leaders in industry and academia, members of the media, analysts and students from around the world.
